Prentice is a beloved father, partner, and community member — a man known for his creativity, strength, and loyalty. In 2016, Prentice's car was struck by a young woman who honestly admitted her mistake. Days later, an insurance investigator entered his home — a man with ties to the judge who later sentenced him.
Despite being the one who called the police and offered aid to the investigator during a scuffle, Prentice was accused of robbery and insurance fraud. His cooperation was ignored, and his past record was used to justify the most extreme punishment — even after the case had previously been dismissed.
He has now spent over 8 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit.
Prentice Ponds is an innocent man, wrongfully convicted and buried by an unjust sentence in Oklahoma. After being assaulted in his own home, calling the police, and cooperating with investigators, he was later charged and convicted—based not on fact, but on bias, jurisdictional overreach, and procedural misconduct.
This is a call to action.
This is a fight for freedom.
This is PondsStrong.
